Courage to Care Day

November and the Courage to Care Day has become like a new national day in Norway. This day is about showing courage to care for the people around you by using simple means, like calling a friend you haven’t spoken to for a while, greeting the bus driver, handing out gingerbread to classmates, visiting the elderly home or a kindergarten to spread some joy, or just having extra focus on saying hello and giving a smile to the people you meet.

– I am very impressed!

There was a high level of activity with most MOT partners in Norway. Youth from all over Norway arranged different activities to make the day extra special. MOT Norway also got a lot of good attention this day when they attended Good Morning Norway on national TV, and many of the local MOT partners did TV and radio interviews. Even the Prime Minister of Norway, Erna Solberg, got a visit from some Young MOT leaders on the Courage to Care Day. MOT Norway’s country manager, Marte Wivestad, was very satisfied by the end of the day:

– I am very impressed by the great effort all so many of our MOT partners have put into this year’s Courage to Care Day. I am especially impressed by all the youth in Norway showing courage to care, which is what this day is all about. That helps us create a warmer and safer society.
