Every Friday the founder and leader of the Reitan group, Odd Reitan, shares an inspiring update with 40 000 of his employees and enthusiasts within their system. I want to share one of his latest updates with you:
A winning culture is created when everybody knows what they want to win. A winning culture is created through enthusiastic cooperation. A winning culture is created when people believe in what they are doing. A winning culture is created when we care about each other. A winning culture is created when we respect and praise each other.
Thus, it’s important that we learn how to praise and admire each other.
It all started with a dream, a dream that was passionate and strong. Do what you love – and keep fanatic discipline.
RG needs a common mindset, attitudes, values, and a structure with efficient and clear roles.
If you want attention, be different! If you want customers to come to your store, you must create the attention that makes them prefer your store.
Build trust and something to believe in. Without proud enthusiasm, the meaning of life will largely disappear.
We need to create as many winners as possible. There are some who fall out, but these people must also be provided for. This is best done by fulfilling our most important corporate social responsibility:
“Build robust people and profitable companies.” Then, we will create a welfare society. The welfare society is dependent on value creation. Reitangruppen does more than just filling people’s stomachs and fuel tanks. We also fill people’s hearts, and our target has not been reached until we know that closing our shops would lead to a “national mourning.”
A winning culture is created through inclusiveness, attitudes, and trust.
