Happy September to all MOT leaders and MOT enthusiasts in four different continents! I am proud of the value-based approach MOT applies to strengthen youth’s robustness and create safe class environments. I am proud of the societal issues you are working to stop, reduce and prevent – such as loneliness, bullying, substance abuse, mental illnesses, […]
25 YEARS AGO HISTORY WAS WRITTEN
It is today exactly 25 years since MOT’s conception. After the Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway, Johann Koss and myself went to see Bjørge Stensbøl, who was, at that time, CEO of the Norwegian Elite Sports Centre (Olympiatoppen). We told him about the idea to start the calendar project and he said, with great enthusiasm: ‘Good luck, boys. Use the letter-paper of the Olympic Committee and get started!’. All of a sudden we were ‘pregnant’ with the calendar project. A pregnancy that was going to last for three years and until MOT was born.
It is quite particular that I, on this day and exactly 25 years later, am celebrating over a nice breakfast and cup of coffee in Lillehammer, where the Olympic Pictograms are decorating the walls in the hotel reception.
Congratulations to all!
