The lotus flower
The lotus is one of the worlds most beautiful flowers. But to blossom, the flower must grow through mud and murky pond water.
Even though the conditions are tough, the lotus stretches after the sun each morning, breaking the surface of the water and blooms untouched by the mud.
Like the lotus flower, you too can grow through difficulties and hardship. No matter how muddy your surroundings might be, you are filled with potential. Sometimes the hardships lay the foundations for an opportunity for growth, change and learning.
It’s okay to feel upset or depressed, or to mourn. However, at some point we must ask ourselves, “How can I use this situation to my advantage?”. The murkier the water is, the more beautiful the lotus flower blossoms.
