Do you believe you will fail again?

57

Have you ever seen an elephant in circus?

The big creatures are being held only by a small rope tied to their front leg, and can break away anytime if they tried. But they do not try.

The reason is that young elephants are unable to break free when tied to the small rope. After trying and failing time after time, they give up. As they grow up, they believe that the rope can still hold them and therefore make no attempt to get away. They believe they are stuck.

Like elephants, many humans go through life believing that we cannot do something, only because we have failed at it before. We limit ourselves by holding on to our beliefs that we will fail again.

Failing is a part of learning. Don’t give up. If you try again, you might be surprised about the outcome!
