We are all familiar with the story of MOT’s origin: when four Olympic athletes in 1994 came together to develop a brand for youth.
Today that brand is MOT, still with the same mission and vision as 20 years ago – to create warmer and safer society.
One of the Founders, Olympic champion Johann Olav Koss visited Riga in April and met up with the MOT Latvia team and Katrine from the MOT Foundation.
It was a very open and inspirational meeting. We discussed the history of MOT Latvia, celebrated the great work and achievements, and shared thoughts and experiences around some challenges.
It was very special to meet Johann and listen to the reflections he has made throughout his life journey – both professionally through his story of Right to Play and privately as his experience as a parent of MOT youth.
One of the important reminders from the conversation was about sustainable funding as the key to success. There are many good social projects in the world, but only those with bold enough financial support are the ones to succeed. We have a lot of work to do in this field, dear MOT friends! And we are ready to contribute with ideas and commitment.
We are looking forward to new BIG ways to go out with MOT message.
We want to think BIG, play BIG, and create a BIG impact!
Thank you for your warm hearts and passion for youth!
Will keep you updated😊
