More MOT in Northern Norway

Norway is a long country. A straight line along Norway’s sea borders is 2,650 kilometers (1,650 mi) long.

Out of the 68.000 youth that is in MOTs programme only 3% of them are stationed in the Northern part of Norway (marked with orange on the map under).

A local bank in Northern Norway called ‘Sparebank 1 Nord-Norge’ wanted to do something about this and help MOT reach more youth in this particular part of Norway.

We are happy to share that MOT Norway this month signed this bank as a new business partner for MOT Norway, where they will help with 1 million NOK a year, three years ahead. The support from the bank goes directly to schools that wants to take part in MOTs programme. This is a wonderful model where business partners make MOT more available for the schools, and MOT can reach even more youth.

Local athletes have engaged in this project, one of them being cross-country skier and world champion Finn Hågen Krogh. He wanted to become a MOT-ambassador to support MOTs growth in the Northern part of Norway. Here you can see a short video of him (in Norwegian):

– For meg så handler MOT om at man kan nå så langt man vil uansett hvilken type man er. Vær trygg på deg selv, men samtidig respekter at andre ikke er slik som deg. ❤ Langrennsløper Finn Hågen Krogh er nå ny MOT-ambassadør for Nord-Norge 🙌🏻 For en mann å ha med på laget! 🤩🙌🏻 🎥: Frank Rune Isaksen, Frikant

We hope this results in many more MOT-partnxers in this part of Norway!
